Summer is right around the corner and with that comes long, warm evenings, gorgeous Colorado sunsets, and cold, rich ice cream. What’s better than an after-dinner stroll to the neighborhood ice cream shop? ARISTA Broomfield is excited to welcome a sweet addition to our beloved community – MC2 Ice Cream Co. Read below to learn more about our new neighbors!

About the Owners:

Brothers Mike and Matt Casarez have a storied culinary history throughout Colorado’s Front Range. The ice cream shop founders both attended Johnson & Wales University in Denver. Mike focused on learning the ins and outs of baking and pastries while Matt focused on culinary arts. Both gentlemen went on to run a restaurant at Black Hawk’s historic saloon, Crook’s Palace.

Since then, the Casarez brothers have been very busy. They started making their own ice cream in 2009 and have garnered awards and attention ever since. From concocting special creations for Denver’s famous Sushi Den to now opening their own Ice Cream Shop in ARISTA Broomfield, the brothers have come a long way and we can’t wait to order a double scoop of what they’re serving up.

World Record Holders:

Mike and Matt Casarez hold the world record for “most ice cream flavors on display at one time”, which they won at the Migg and Mutts Ice Cream Social at Crook’s Palace. They hand crafted 1,001 ice cream flavors, securing them the win in the Guinness Book of World Records. The journey to break this record is captured in the documentary Sweet Dreams.

Fantastic Flavors:

MC2 Ice Cream Co. prides themselves on handcrafted, small batch ice creams that have a silky-smooth consistency and fresh, exciting flavors. Finding inspiration across the food industry and our great state, these ice cream moguls seek to capture nostalgia, breakfast favorites, Colorado’s colorful seasons, and more through their tasty concoctions. Flavors like “Happy Hour”, “Day at the Ballpark”, and “The Garden” are just a few tantalizing options.

See You There!

MC2’s newest location opened at 8001 Arista Place, nestled between other community favorites Hickory & Ash and Proto’s Pizza. MC2 Ice Cream Co. is only minutes away from US highway 36 and the Broomfield RTD stop, making this a perfect after-hike treat or relaxing way to top off Saturday shopping at the TurnPike Shops. Now, life is even sweeter at ARISTA Broomfield.
