06 Jun Benefits to Living in the Denver Metro Area
When comparing Denver to America’s other treasured big cities, The Mile High City definitely takes the cake. Denver is progressive, approachable, has fantastic weather, and some of the most active residents in the nation. We have access to a dearth of amenities without having to cram on a subway or brave icy streets (most of the time!). We can quickly recharge in the mountains, less than an hour away. Crime is relatively low compared to other urban centers.
The population increase and economic growth have inspired a myriad of entrepreneurs, artists, and retailers to bring their ideas, goods, and services to our area. Most notably, Denver’s outer lying cities have seen an economic and social boost from this growth. While Denver’s downtown struggles through growing pains, Broomfield gets to reap the rewards. Here are some of our favorite perks about living in Broomfield, Colorado.
Access to Open Space
No matter the season, there’s always something going on in Broomfield and our city’s numerous parks always give us a reason to get outside. Denver winters are tame but dump ample amounts of snow in short spurts, allowing time to sled down snow covered hills, build a snow man, and sip hot chocolate while we watch the flakes fall.
Luckily, the warm Denver sun melts it away within a few days, leaving us free to run a 5K or pack a picnic lunch to the park. Broomfield residents have quick, easy access to plenty of open space and outdoor recreational activities. Our parks, golf courses, lakes, and trails encourage residents to get outside and be active, contributing to Denver’s notable healthy lifestyle.
Varied Retail Space
Historically, Denver was not synonymous with fashion. However, with the influx of artists from all over the nation and the opening of new retail spaces throughout the city, Denver’s fashion scene has taken off.
The Turnpike Shops at ARISTA Broomfield recently opened up an 18-acre retail space that will soon be home to some marvelous stores. Instead of trekking to the Cherry Creek Mall, paying for parking, and sitting in traffic on I-25 on the way home, spend a leisurely day in Broomfield exploring our town’s boutique clothing stores, charming coffee shops, and unique home décor retailers.
Award-Winning Restaurants Without the Wait
Over the past few years, Denver’s culinary scene underwent a massive shift. Many internationally renowned chefs opened restaurants throughout the city and its outer lying suburbs. Kevin Taylor, founder and chef behind Masa Cocina and Hickory & Ash, opened both of these treasured eateries in the heart of our ARISTA Broomfield community.
More often than not, dining in Denver’s bustling urban center requires planning ahead, making reservations, and sorting out transportation. Frequently, the task becomes too arduous and we opt to stay home, instead. We love dining at any of ARISTA Broomfield’s celebrated restaurants and are fortunate to enjoy innovative, fresh cuisine, without the hassle.
Broomfield really is the best of both worlds. It’s a city that marries urban living with the peaceful and unhurried attitude of small towns; the mountain views and quick access into Denver can’t be beat. Broomfield is only getting better. The Turnpike Shops at ARISTA Broomfield are moving in even more retailers, restaurants, and services. Life at ARISTA really means you can have it all.
